RunRun Match Policies and Rules

This guide outlines all policies, rules, and steps related to creating, joining, and managing matches on the RunRun app.

Before Match Confirmation

Pending Confirmation
The match is awaiting confirmation and may be cancelled if the court or required players are unavailable.
If cancelled, you'll receive a full refund within 1–5 working days (depending on your bank) to your original payment method.
Cancelled by You or Organiser
You may cancel your place anytime before confirmation, or the organiser may cancel the match. In both cases,you'll receive a full refund within 1–5 working days (depending on your bank).

After Match Confirmation

Free Cancellation (up to 24 hours before match start)
You can cancel your place for free up to 24 hours before the match starts. A full refund will be issued.
Less than 24 hours before match
Cancellations are not allowed within 24 hours of the match start time.

A match is considered confirmed when
- All required players have joined, or
- The full payment for the slot has been received.

Before Match Confirmation

If cancelled, all players will receive a full refund within 1–5 working days.
Cancelled by Organiser
As an organiser, you may cancel the match anytime before it is confirmed. All players will receive a full refund within 1–5 working days.

After Match Confirmation

Free Cancellation (up to 24 hours before match start)
You can cancel the match for free up to 24 hours before the match starts. All players will be refunded.
Less than 24 hours before match
Matches cannot be cancelled within 24 hours of the start time.

A match is considered confirmed when:
- All required players have joined, or
- The full payment for the slot has been received.

A slot hold means the slot is reserved for you, preventing others from booking it.

Hold Time:

When a match is created → Slot is held for 4 hours.
Once 50% payment is received → Slot is held until 12 hours before match start.
Once 75% payment is received → Slot is held until 4 hours before match start.
If created less than 4 hours before start, slot will only be confirmed after full payment is received.

A slot release means the slot is freed, allowing others to book it.

Rules:

A match is confirmed when:

If your slot is released and booked by another user, RunRun will:
Try to switch your match to a similar field at the same venue (same time, duration, price).
If no field is available → Match will be cancelled and refund processed.
Venue owners can also manually switch fields before confirmation.

A venue may cancel a match at any time, confirmed or not.
If cancelled before confirmation → Full refund.
If cancelled 24+ hours before start → Full refund.
If cancelled within 24 hours of start → Refund will be processed after deducting service charges (venue’s decision).

Two types of matches:

Steps to Join:

Open Explore Matches and browse available options.
Select the desired match and tap Join.
Check the required skill level: Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced.
Join with Invitation → Join instantly when invited, skill doesn’t matter.
Join with Request → Send a request and wait for approval to join.
Payment:
o If the organiser already paid the slot fee → You can join directly.
o Otherwise → Pay your share while joining to confirm.

Select a venue from the Home page.
In the match section, choose the game, date, and time.
Book the place and duration, then fill match details:
Match type: Open or Private
Skill level: Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced
Gender preference (if any)
Game format: Singles or Doubles
Invite players to join.
Payment options:
- Pay full amount → Match confirmed instantly.
- Allow individual payments → Match confirmed once all players complete payments.

This policy ensures smooth booking, fair cancellations, and clear communication between players, organisers, and venues.
